Today’s post contains a free printable worksheet for general brainstorming. This is a great way to get you thinking about your business as a “big picture” so you focus on both short and long term goals. If you are seriously considering entrepreneurship, general planning is a great way to start when you don’t know where to begin or simply need to rework previous plans. We will take a more in-depth look at these plans a bit later.
Having a plan from the beginning is critical for entrepreneurs and small business owners. Think of it as a “backbone” for your craft. It provides you the framework to build off of and allows you to re-focus when everything becomes overwhelming. In the beginning, millions of questions come flooding in to your mind and you feel like you have to know all of the answers right away. What goals do you have? Will you sell products or a service? How much money do you need to start?
These are all very important questions that we need to start thinking about BEFORE we get started with product creation and sales. Download a copy now and fill it out. Try not to worry if you you don’t have an answer for some of these right now. The important thing is to get a general idea about the business you want and familiarize yourself with some of the topics you need to be thinking about throughout the process.
